A series of events featuring the Star Festival: visitors can enjoy special installations featuring the “Milky Way” at Galleria and the “Star light” at the connection point to Roppongi Station at the Toei Oedo line. Other events include “Fumi-letters“ and “100 days Live”.
●“Fumi-letters”
July is the month of “letters” in the ancient Japanese calendar (in Japanese, it was called the month of “Fumi”). Tokyo Midtown proposes that you will send a postcard to convey a precious message to someone special to you-your parents, daughters, sons, friends, sweetheart or someone you respect- with your own handwriting.
You will find the “Fumi-letters” postcards in Galleria. Please write down a massage on the card and post it to a original “Tokyo Midtown” mail-box set up on the B1F of Galleria. Midtown offers Kompeito or Japanese candy in a form of star everyday to first 300 senders who posted the card. Moreover, 7 addressees will win a special present (accommodation or meal tickets etc.).

*The postcards will be sent out via Tokyo Midtown Post Office on July 7.
*The mailing destination is limited within Japan.

●”100 Days Live”
Tokyo Midtown commemorates its 100th day anniversary on July 7 and holds a special music live on this day of the Star Festival.

【Profile of Gayo Nakagaki】
Gayo is a young 20 strings Koto player who performs both home and abroad at various events, concerts playing any genre from classics to modern music. To expand the world of Koto, he co-performs with players of the west musical instruments such as cello, violin, keyboards, and percussions etc. In recent years, he is also active in music composition. He composed a piece for the opening at the "World Synchronized Swimming" in Yokohama in 2006 and co-stared with Japanese dram player. Moreover, Gayo composed and played the music for the opening attention of "Mainichi Movie Awards” in February this year.
●Selected 16 Haiku (Japanese poem) will be exhibited on Galleria 3F
16 Haiku poems under the theme of the “Star Festival” and “Starry Sky”, selected by Mr. Michio Nakabara, a renown Haiku poet, from the numerous sent via public application will be exhibited in the showcases placed on Galleria 3F from July 1 (Sun) to July 31 (Tue).
