▼The first Noh and Kyogen Performances in Tokyo Midtown

The first night, you will enjoy a competitive performance by two prestigious families of Kyogen actors; Shigeyama family in the west and Nomura family in the east (stages include ‘Sanbaso’,‘Nioh’ on Shigeyama family’s style, and ‘Kagyu’ on Nomura Mansai).
The second night, you will enjoy the world of ‘The Tale of Genji’ with the Noh masterpiece ‘Aoi-no-ue’ by the 9th Kanze Tetsunojo, the young master of the Kanze Tetsunojo family.

The first night, you will enjoy a competitive performance by two prestigious families of Kyogen actors; Shigeyama family in the west and Nomura family in the east.
On stage are ‘Sanbaso’, which is performed only in a special time, ‘Nioh’ showing the Shigeyama family’s style of acting fully, and ‘Kagyu’ displaying the entire attractions of Nomura Mansai, who takes active parts in many fields with his versatile talent.

●The second night
September 20 (Thu) at 19:00 (Door opens at 18:00) Tickets sold out.
The second night, you will enjoy the world of ‘The Tale of Genji’ with the Noh masterpiece ‘Aoi-no-ue’ by the 9th Kanze Tetsunojo, the young master of the Kanze Tetsunojo family. On the performance is portrayed the scene of ‘Kuruma Arasoi’ more realistic than usual by a special direction rarely put on a stage. Besides that, on the stage is Noh instrumental music by first-rate Noh instrumentalists. Their soul-stirring and clear sound will instantly fascinate the audience. There is also a Kyogen play ‘Futari Daimyo’ in perfect harmony by Yamamoto Noritada and his sons, the members of Yamamoto Tojiro family wining great popularity. This is unexampled performance presenting Kyogen by three families from eastern and western part of Japan in two days.
