The term WA-mode refers to traditional Japanese fashion, and this exhibition introduces the culture of the colorful and gorgeous clothing and accessories worn by Japanese women.

21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Exhibition2  Directed by TAKU SATOH "water"

After detailed research and discussion, a team of individuals lead by Director Taku Satoh, examined the intersection of design and water from a variety of angles. This exhibition will offer visitors an all -encompassing sensory experience.

A photographic introduction to European Pilgrimage Routes, with several specially permitted photographs of medieval European artifacts and buildings, giving the visitor a real taste of medieval European culture.

Tokyo Midtown, this year celebrating its very first Christmas season, is pleased to present the “Tokyo Midtown 1st Christmas” – a celebration based on the message that, “Someone is Always Santa Claus for Someone Else.”

National Treasure,Choju-Jinbutsu-Giga Emaki

November 3 (Sat) - December 16 (Sun)
Surrounding the four scrolls titled "Choju-Giga" of the Kosanji Monastery in Kyoto's Togano-o district, existing fragments and copies will be gathered to reveal the entire picture of the "Choju-Giga".

Tokyo Midtown 6th Exhibition GOOD DESIGN 2007 WORLD PREMIERE

Safety & Smooth Tokyo Fair 2007

Aiming to promote to understanding traffic safety and "Smooth Tokyo21 Expanded Operation",project to eliminate traffic congestion within Tokyo,  "Safety and Smooth Tokyo Fair 2007"is held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Metropolitan Police Department and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructre and Transport, joined in by Ukyo Katayama, racing driver, as head of campaign in cooperation with "Tokyo Traffic Satety Campaign".

Tokyo Midtown DESIGN TOUCH begins!

This is a photographic exhibition by 12 female professional photographers on the theme of "Pink." Each of the photographers has expressed their own impressions on a variety of shades of pink.

Japan's 1st Classic car Concours d'elegance "Tokyo Councours d'Elegance"

October 27 (Sat)
A taditional style classic car Concours d'Elegance will be held at Tokyo Midtown similar to events held in the United States and Italy. On the 27th there will be a stamp rally (collect four stamps from each of the exhibition areas and receive original goods), photo workshops and the chance to vote the "Best of Show" car.

Tokyo Midtown Design Hub 6th Exhibition "JAPAN DESIGN 2007 WORLD PREMIERE"

Around 90 main awarded items of the Good Design Award 2007 are exhibited. They sustain people's life and encourage development of industries in various fields. They represent design categories of Product Design, Architecture and Environment Design,

This exhibition spotlights Japanese folding screens, a long cherished interior decor and re-examines their history and roles in Japanese culture from a global perspective.

Akasaka’s Hikawa Shrine exhibits “DASHI -a festival float with wheels”

The exhibition commemorates the completion of restoration of the Edo-style “DASHI of Akasaka Hikawa”. A MIKOSHI, a portable Shinto Shrine is also exhibited. Dashi-related goods are available too.

The first Noh and Kyogen Performances in Tokyo Midtown

September 19 (Wed), 20 (Thu)
The first night, you will enjoy a competitive performance by two prestigious families of Kyogen actors; Shigeyama family in the west and Nomura family in the east (stages include ‘Sanbaso’,‘Nioh’ on Shigeyama family’s style, and ‘Kagyu’ on Nomura Mansai).
The second night, you will enjoy the world of ‘The Tale of Genji’ with the Noh masterpiece ‘Aoi-no-ue’ by the 9th Kanze Tetsunojo, the young master of the Kanze Tetsunojo family.

Smile Please! − A photographic exhibition by Norika Fujiwara

Norika Fujiwara presents a collection of approximately 135 photographs taken as part of her international aid activities. This charity exhibition features a message which urges visitors to help children around the world who are forced to live in conditions of extreme starvation and poverty.

Water in Life-An Exhibition Commemorating the New Home of the Suntory Museum of Art

The exhibition features images of "water" widely expressed in Japanese art, and demonstrates Japan's culture which is deeply connected with water, through Japanese sensitivity and sentiments.

21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Exhibition 1 "Chocolate" Directed by Naoto Fukasawa

The theme of the first exhibition of 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, which seeks to provide "a perspective on the world" through design, is "chocolate". Under the direction of Naoto Fukasawa, 30 other creators and creative groups explore and show works that are full of surprises, reflecting the world as represented by this bitterseet food.

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) introduces a total of approximately 1,000 items of epoch-making Japanese graphic design, from logo marks to posters, in displays and film.
