photo by Shinya Fujiwara●Art’08 /’09五十嵐威暢審査員’08 /’09Judges（'08 / '09）アーティスト/多摩美術大学客員教授代表作：ニューヨーク近代美術館カレンダー、多摩美術大学ロゴ、東京ミッドタウン、赤坂ガーデンシティのパブリックアート新しい才能との出会い、議論の沸騰など、コンペのアイデンティティは着実に築かれ始めている。与えられたテーマと設置場所の制約の中で、自分との戦いが審査する側にも求められる。その意味が応募者にも伝わっていると信じたい。運営スタッフを含めた壮大なエネルギーが注がれるアートのイベント、今後のさらなる飛躍に期待したい。Takenobu Igarashi / Artist / visiting professorBy encountering new talent and lively debate, thiscompetition has started to build a solid identity. Thejudges also need to fight within themselves. We hopeto convey that meaning to the contestants. This is an artevent filled with great energy which we hope to achieveeven more in the future.photo by Hakan Topal●Art’08神谷幸江●Art’09児島やよい広島市現代美術館チーフキュレーター/早稲田大学非常勤講師代表作：「Adaptive Behavior」展（04）、「蔡國強」展（08）、「マーティン・クリード」展（09）人々の行き交う都市の真ん中という、様々な価値基準を含んだ環境に作品を展示する、そのチャレンジングでエキサイティングな機会に，多数の応募が寄せられ、アーティストの皆さんの意欲的な関心が伝わって来ました。作り手にとって見る者にとってアートとの関わりや意味、そんな大きな問いを考えさせてくれる機会でした。フリーランス・キュレーター/ライター/慶応義塾大学、明治学院大学非常勤講師代表作：「杉本博司歴史の歴史」展（03）、「草間彌生クサマトリックス」展（04）、「ネオテニー・ジャパン高橋コレクション」展（08-10）レベルの高い作品が揃い、嬉しくも難しい審査となった。コンセプトは良いものの実現性の点で惜しい案が多かった。制作費をどう使うかや、設置の方法まで、より練ってみてほしい。一方で、もっと破天荒なアイディアも期待するところ。1回であきらめず、ぜひ再挑戦してほしいと思う。Yukie Kamiya / Curator / part-time lecturerMany entrants wanting to face the exciting challenge ofhaving their works displayed in an environment of varyingvalues in the middle of a bustling city proved the contestants'enthusiasm. This has given me the opportunity to think aboutthe relationship and meaning of art from the artist andviewer's point of view.Yayoi Kojima / Freelance curator / writerA collection of high level works has made judgingdifficult. It was regrettable to see many entries lackingpracticability, even though having a good concept.Furthermore, I would like to see the unprecedentedideas. I hope contestants don't give up after one attemptand want them to make another challenge.3
