コラム1：六本木アートナイト2012「ストリートミュージアム」/ Column 1: Roppongi Art Night“Street Museum”六本木のアートの祭典にアートコンペ出身者が集結Winners of the Art Competitions gathered at Roppongi Art Night六本木の町がアートに染まり、一夜限りの大変貌を遂げる！2012年も六本木の街を舞台にアートナイトが開催され、美術館やギャラリーも深夜や早朝まで開館時間を延期してこの日にしかできない特別な夜をアートで演出しました。テーマは「アートでつくろう、日本の元気」。東京ミッドタウンも多彩なアーティストやクリエイターによる厳選したアートパフォーマンスやワークショップなど、充実したプログラムを展開しました。なかでも注目を集めたのが東京ミッドタウン5周年特別企画・ストリートミュージアムです。次世代を担うアーティストの発掘・応援を目指すTokyo MidtownAwardが、これまで見出してきた新しい才能を紹介する機会として企画しました。ストリートミュージアムにはTokyo Midtown Awardアートコンペの歴代受賞作家全15組が集結、受賞時のメイン会場でもあったB1Fメトロアベニューにて、さらに輝きを増した新作を披露しました。インスタレーション、彫刻、映像、アニメーションなど多彩な作品群は、まさに次世代を担うアーティストの饗宴と呼ぶにふさわしいエネルギーを放つものとなりました。Art galleries and museums extended theiropening hours late into the night or early morningfor the Roppongi Art Night 2012, a special artfestival that is possible only in Roppongi.An attention-drawing feature of the festival thisyear was the Street Museum event, specially heldto mark the 5th anniversary of Tokyo Midtownand to showcase the talents of the budding artistsdiscovered by Tokyo Midtown.A total of 15 artists who have won awards in theTokyo Midtown Award art competitions displayedtheir latest works for Street Museum. The workswere installed on the B1 level of the MetroAvenue which is the place where the winnersreceived their awards. The wide-ranging works byartists of the next generation were brilliant thanever and had a magnetic energy.「ストリートミュージアム」を観て［審査委員清水敏男評/ Comments by Toshio Shimizu］街＝ストリートは刺激的で新しい発見に溢れている。今回のストリートミュージアムは、そうした刺激を与えてくれるものだった。東京ミッドタウンアワードの受賞者たちは、街に展示することについて鍛えられているので、作品を環境にあわせながらも十分に自己主張させることに成功していた。10The city i.e., the streets, are brimming with new and exciting discoveries. The Street Museum wasan event that captured the imagination. The winners of the Tokyo Midtown Award have experience inexhibiting works in the streets, and know what should be done; for this event, they succeeded wonderfullyin making works that were suited to the venue, while at the same time fully asserting their individuality.
