優秀賞/ Excellent PrizeEmpty freezer（m12）仏教には無常（どんなものにも始まりと終わりがある）という言葉があります。仏像も使い捨てのプラパック等も同じようにいずれは朽ちていくのに、実際は当然のように分けられています。この価値観に疑問を提示したいと考えました。作品素材：業務用冷凍ショーケース、玉砂利＜木彫＞漆、真鍮金具、金箔・古色彩色Materials used : Industrial freezer showcase, pebbles＜Wood carving＞Japanese lacquer, brass fittings,Gold leaf and traditional colorBuddhism teaches impermanence, the notionthat there is a beginning and end to all things.Buddhist statues will someday fade justas disposable cups do. However, Buddhiststatues and disposable goods are consideredseparate.
