As you step into the garden, countless lights envelop you, taking you into a snowy wonderland. This year, based on the concept of “Ensemblewrap - layers and layers of enveloping light,” we will present an enchanting Christmas that will enthrall and enthrall all visitors.
Large crowds are expected between December 20 (Fri.) and 25 (Wed.), and you may have to wait for
more than two hours before you can see the illuminations. If you wish to enjoy the illuminations
at your own pace, we strongly recommend that you avoid peak times and visit on or before

16:00 - 23:00 during the above three day period. Please be aware that this will create
one-way sections along certain parts of the route. We ask for your understanding and
cooperation in order to allow everyone to safely view the illuminations.
・You cannot access the illumination venue from inside Galleria.
・If you leave the queue for any reason then you will not be able to return to the same
place.
・Please ensure that you use toilet facilities prior to joining the queue.
・Customers accompanied by pets will be unable to queue in the waiting line.
・The viewing space for wheelchair users is provided on the priority area for safety
reason.
・Please follow all instructions from staff when proceeding through the venue.
・Since a parking space is expected to be very busy, please take a public transportation.
A magical illumination featuring approximately 240,000 bubble lights appears,
expressing a fantastical snowy wonderland. It depicts a Christmas townscape enveloped in gold, which
finally transforms into a beautiful snowscape as it gradually begins to snow.. In addition to the
interlocking sound and light effects for each scene, you can also enjoy special effects of floating
bubbles and snow falling for a limited time only.

The Midtown Garden is home to a total of 400 trees that include around 140 inherited from the former
Defense Agency that was located on the site, and these trees have been carefully looked after since
the opening of Tokyo Midtown. Regularly pruning the trees means not only are any overgrown leaves
and branches tidied up, but also that air and light are equally distributed to all foliage, and
allows the health of trees and plants to be preserved along with the beauty of the trees.

Karen has received awards both in Japan and abroad,
including first prize at the Concorso Internazionale di Violino Michelangelo Abbado,
second prize at the Music Competition of Japan, and fourth prize at the Carl Nielsen
International Music Competitions. After graduating at the top of her class from
Tokyo University of the Arts, she went on to complete a master's degree from the
Graduate School of Music at the same university. She has studied under Koichiro
Harada, Asako Urushihara and Masafumi Hori. She is currently active in solo and
chamber music, guesting with orchestras, and organizing her own concerts. She is a
member of the La Luce Octet and the Kioi Hall Chamber Orchestra. The instrument she
uses is a private loan Pietro Guarneri 1698. She is a Hibiya Festival 2022 NEXT
Artist.

Toshiyuki is a countertenor, a male singer who uses his falsetto. He graduated at
the top of the Department of Vocal Music at Tokyo University of the Arts and its
graduate school. He then went to Italy to study at the Ancient Music Department of
Conservatorio Guido Cantelli di Novara. He performed in "The Marriage of Figaro" by
Michiyoshi Inoue and Hideki Noda in 2020. He made his opera debut at the New
National Theatre in 2022 with the opera "Giulio Cesare" and has received high

A saxophone ensemble formed by young saxophonists of the same age (Sop. Kanon
Kagami, Alt. Yugo Kasahara, Ten. Keisuke Akiyama, Bar. Kai Nishimura). Each member
studied saxophone professionally at different music academies and performs in a wide
range of genres with four saxophones, from classical to pop, jazz to contemporary
music. They are Hibiya Festival 2024 NEXT Artists.
